Explosions In Kyiv Again, Russia Launches 15 Cruise Missiles & 18 Drones, “70% Of Marinka Captured”

Ukrainian authorities reported explosions across Kyiv early morning on June 2. Russia launched over 15 cruise missiles and 18 drones in a massive aerial attack at Kyiv overnight on June 2. Ukrainian authorities said this is the sixth consecutive aerial attack on the capital city. Ukraine’s General Staff reported that all the drones were shot down by its air defence units. Russian forces claim to have captured 70% of Marinka city, earlier known as a Ukrainian stronghold, in the Donetsk region. Russian deputy commander Apty Alaudinov said his brigade units attacked the city from the left and right to capture most parts of the city. Alaudinov admitted that Ukrainian troops continued to put up strong resistance in the city. Former Russian commander Igor Girkin has said that Ukraine is now aware of Kremlin’s “relative weakness“.
