The Artist Who Gave You Goosebumps

R. L. Stine’s Goosebumps book series was a worldwide phenomenon when it launched in 1992. Growing up I read some of the books my brother had collected, but I was far more enamoured with the cover art created by Tim Jacobus than the words on the page. From the frightening images of Slappy the dummy and the Haunted Mask, to the rich colours of The Cuckoo Clock of Doom and One Day At HorrorLand, the Goosebumps cover art was seared into my brain. 30 years later, I called Jacobus to discuss his work.
