1982 Mercedes-Benz 450SL Trans Am Racer

This Mercedes is a DeAtley Motorsport/Michelob Trans Am Racer Car driven by Loren St. Lawrence. Neat DeAtley owned a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Lewiston, Idaho and this car was built from the ground up, its the first Mercedes-Benz race car in a pro series since that dreadful 1955 LeMans crash. The engine which is a OHC motor destroked to to meet (the then) engine size requirements and was built by Edwin Hatch. The best finish of this car was 6th at Road America.
