The number one question i get asked in my ministry: Is can a Christian have a demon? The demon slayers have made this conversation popular with their movie Come Out in Jesus Name Movie. I’ve been a leader in the inner healing and deliverance ministry now for 8 years. Now let me start off by saying that if you have not seen this stuff first hand it sounds totally crazy. Jesus spent a lot of time casting out demons in his ministry. Just read the newspaper. The vast evil we see in the world these days is not normal. Demons are behind this stuff. I play a clip from Robert Morris of Gateway church talking on deliverance ministry. He quotes a popular statement about deliverance from Jack Hayford “You cannot cast out the flesh, and you cannot disciple the demon.“ So something are the flesh, Somethings are metal illness, Sometimes there are medical conditions. Not everything is a demon. But when you need deliverance- Nothing else will do. Spiritual warfare is different from casting out demons. You can’t pray away a demon. You must cast them out with authority in Jesus name by saying “Come Out“ I am going to show two clips. One of Ask Dr Brown and Alexander Pagani debate on weather or not christians can have a demon. They realize real quick that they are o the same page. The Greek word for demon possession, as it’s translated in our Bible, is daimonizomai; it means to be under the power of a demon. Pay attention to the fact that daimonizomai does not carry the meaning of ownership. The proper translation for the word daimonizomai is to be demonized, not demon-possessed. So Christians cannot be demon possessed since they are possessed by Jesus but they can be demonized. Then i show a clip from Remnant Radio giving a biblical basic for deliverance ministry and their take on weather or not Christian can be demon possessed. The same thing they believe Christians cannot be demon possessed but they can be demonized.
