Ukraine made big claims in connection to the incursion in Kursk on Tuesday. Ukrainian forces said that 74 settlements were under their control and that they had advanced 1-3 kms into Kursk. However, Russian forces said that they had repelled several Ukrainian attacks and killed up to 420 of their men in battles in Kursk. Russia also destroyed four Ukraine-launched missiles over Kursk. A regionwide state of emergency was declared in the Russian border area of Belgorod by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov citing continued attacks by Ukrainian forces.
