The Dalai Lama is a well known jokester, but there’s such a thing as “reading the room,” and the Lama may have failed to do so recently during an interaction with a young boy. After hugging the child the Lama stuck out his tongue and asked the boy to suck on it. Maybe the Lama thought this was a harmless joke, but the Internet saw it differently and lit up a firestorm as a result.
