Ancient fortified city walls encircle us, cradling not only the old town but also beautiful parkland. Zadar is the oldest continuously inhabited city in Croatia! It looks out over the Adriatic Sea. You enter through fort walls covered in dense parkland. That soothing and distinctive ’forest’ smell welcomes you as you walk on the damp leaves. A trail took us out of the trees and up along the top of the fort walls, revealing views of the city and the water. Little sailing boats bobbed in the water in the sheltered marinas below. Join us!
