Game Boy Longplay [349] Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (US)

Played by: Reinc Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back is an action-platformer made by Lucasfilm Games and released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992. It is based on a movie of the same name, and is the sequel to the original Star Wars for the NES. After the game was completed, the developers were occupied with making JVC’s Super Star Wars for the Super NES, so a corresponding NES sequel covering the film Return of the Jedi was never developed, nor released. The Game Boy port was developed by NMS Software and published by Capcom, but was reprinted and distributed by several publishers over the course of three years.
