The passing of my sister Irene, left me feeling as though my world had crumbled beneath me. I was unsure of how to move forward without her. Over the course of these last five years, I have come to understand that resilience encompasses more than mere survival. It’s about finding the strength to keep living even when everything feels impossible. This experience has taught me that it is right to feel defeated and lost but it is not acceptable to surrender. I had to learn to be patient with myself, to take small steps forward, and to keep pushing through the pain. I found that while it was challenging to assume, I was able to bounce out of my setbacks with determination and perseverance. It has given me the confidence to face each day, to keep going ahead, and to find meaning and purpose in life even when it seems that everything has been taken away. I’m aware of the fact that my opinions reflect solely myself. But I felt compelled to tell you guys. That’s why, once I got over the depression, I created this song. If you or someone you know is going through a tough time, please know you are not alone. You are powerful enough to emerge victorious over whatever challenge you face. Never give up; you have what it takes to overcome it. Know that there is hope and light on the other side of the darkness. We are near to the end of this journey through “Onyria”, and I want to say thanks to Clara Sorace for the beautiful vocals she recorded for “Resilience” and to Marc Timón, Pau Cañigueral and the whole Emporion Orchestra team, for all the love they put into this song. ❤️ ------ “Onyria“ is my third studio album. But also a poem of love to my little sister Irene, the most wonderful person I’ve ever known, that left this world in 2018 just a few months after the release of “Immortalys.“ It is also a personal chronicle of these last four years and my journey over those times. With its lights and shadows, highs and lows, going from her loss, throughout grief, to the acceptance and final resilience state, I’ve tried to render this homage as beautifully and poetically as I could. Into “Onyria”, you’ll find almost two hours of new music recorded with a large orchestra, a children’s and an adult choir, and some of the most exquisite and well-known voices in the epic field, It also features a cast of extraordinary musicians, and I heartily hope you enjoy it and it makes you dream again.
