(: In this episode we’ll be looking at Alizarin Crimson, by Winsor & Netwon’s Cotman brand. This paint is one of the best student grade paints out there. The pigment of this one is PR206. It’s funny, because Daniel Smith also has a tube that’s made of PR206, for “Quinacridone Burnt Scarlet“ - so read the labels carefully! Haha :D The term Alizarin is an organic dye made of the madder plant (which also gives you some idea as to madder based paints such as “Madder Lake Deep“ and “Brown Madder“. In the past it was made from the natural organic substance, but n
