Crusader Song (Old Norse) - Jórsalanám

Here’s a song I wrote and sang in Old Norse detailing the events of the Siege of Jerusalem in 1099 from the perspective of a Scandinavian crusader (people from all over Europe responded to the call of Pope Urban II, with varying degrees of success). The Crusaders won the siege and instituted the Kingdom of Jerusalem. The name, Jórsalanám, literally means “The Taking of Jerusalem“. The epic picture is called “Kingdom of Heaven“ by Sergey Sezonov, which he very kindly allowed me to use for this video. Hope you enjoy. Please leave a comment, like and subscribe if you enjoyed it! If you’d like to support my work, you can do so here: (but really, no pressure!). Thank you for your kindness.
