The Supreme Court ruled against the National Collegiate Athletic Association on Monday. Universities are now allowed to give non-cash compensation, such as internships and laptops, to Division I college athletes. The court rejected the NCAA’s argument that the players’ amateur status would be difficult to maintain if they were compensated.
