The Fall - The Unreleased Documentary

The Fall, one of the most interesting and arresting bands of the post-punk era, or any era for that matter, are confounding, strange and hilarious. This documentary, recently unearthed by the internet, goes some small way to explaining the appeal of Mark E Smith’s outsider post-punk. Recorded in 1994, it covers the ever-changing line-up, their starkly imaginative music, and the importance of urban decay, work ethic, the occult and multiculturalism on their music. However, as pop’s eternal grumpy uncle says, the only rule with The Fall is “You have to un-learn everything.”
