Girl, 11, ‘knifed repeatedly by complete stranger in Leicester Square leaving mum covering in blood’

A girl was stabbed multiple times in a random attack on a busy Leicester Square yesterday, according to a witness. Ioan Pintaru, 32, was charged with attempted murder after the 11-year-old was seriously injured on Monday. He was also charged with the possession of a bladed article, the Metropolitan Police said.
