Zoom Gallery Talk Fathers and Sons: Suzuki Osamu and Suzuki Tetsu Recorded September 17, 2020 “Fathers and Sons” explores the unique nature of lineage and received tradition as illustrated through two sets of father-son ceramic artists: Suzuki Osamu and his son, Tetsu, and Wakao Toshisada and his son, Kei. Please join us Thursday September 17 at 5pm, for the first of two panel discussions to accompany the exhibition. Thursday’s discussion will be with Suzuki Osamu and Suzuki Tetsu. A master of white Shino ware, Suzuki Osamu has been designated a Living National Treasure and his son, Tetsu, has established himself in green and blue-green copper Oribe glazes. Joan Mirviss will moderate the discussion as our panelists speak directly with Suzuki Osamu and Suzuki Tetsu about their work, relationship, and legacy.
