This musical “Sailing For Life“ is Lee Jun Ki’s first Musical, while in army service, 3/2010-2/2012. This musical is a co-production of the Army & Musical Association of Korea to commemorate 60th Anniversary of , based on a family longing for freedom, their voyage on “Meredith Victory“ & their safe arrival at Geoje. The musical involves 44 actors & 13 crew from army personnel, while the orchestra consists of 20 active duty soldiers, together with 9 professional performers & 30 civilians in the production. Its Seoul performance started on 21 Aug has attracted 2 million people. Lee Jun Ki who starred in it received 50 stitches as a result of an accident when he hit the metal structure of the prop. His immediate return to the stage after treatment displayed his fighting spirit & passion. Among the cast, Lee Joon gi (Lbyeong), Joo Ji Hoon (born Joo Yun Hoon)(Llbyeong) & Kim Da Hyun (born Kim Se Hyun)(Llbyeong) received Recognition Awards from the Army Chief of Staff. ( CWNG) Lee Jun Ki was Born: April 17, 1982, in Busan, South Korea. Enlisted: May 3, 2010 Discharged: Feb 16, 2012 After 5 weeks of Training, Lee Jun Ki was transferred to Defense Media Agency, in charge of Radio & TV Programmes. His first task was an Exhibition Guide (Docent) for the “On The Line“ Army Photo Exhibition to commemorate the 60th Anniversary Of Korean War, together with Lee Dong Wook, from June 27 to Aug 18, 2010, every Sun/Wed at & 12 Noon at Daelim Contemporary Art Museum, Seoul. From Aug 21 to Aug 29, 2010, Lee Jun Ki participated in the Army Musical “Sailing For Life“ at the National Theatre Of Korea, Hae Main Hall, Seoul, South Korea. Then, in September, Jun Ki’s Musical performed at Geoje Island & Daeju; and in October, at Suwon, Jeonju, Kangwon & Daejeon, South Korea. From Dec 6, 2010, Jun Ki’s new mission is DJ for the Army radio program “The Heart You Want To Give, The Story You Want to Listen“ (in Korean abbreviation is Jumam) on KFN Friends FM every Mon-Fri, 6-8pm korean time.
