Doublenghien (small 1/87 H0-scale layout) at the MSKK 33d train weekend of Ostend

Doublenghien is a small layout representing a nostalgic and imaginary but very typical village in Belgian Picardie. The region is very rural and the singing of the birds is only from time to time interrupted by a diesel train. The layout looks very much like a painting by an impressionist artist, with great attention to a harmonic of colours and interesting period details. Behind the layout is a track system to compose trains, thus enabling the author to show different trains running by the village. The model train club MSKK organises once a year a two day exposition and secondhand model trains market in Ostend. The “Doublenghien“ diorama was presented at the 33d edition (September 16th & 17th, 2023)
