Your Word Stands Firm (Acoustic)

In unsettling times—whether personal crisis or social unrest—we have only one firm foundation: Jesus Christ, The Word of God. All of God’s promises are “yes and amen” in and through Christ. The Scriptures are God-breathed and useful for us on our journey of loving God and others. When tragedy strikes and heartache comes, the promise of God’s compassion in Christ is our refuge. When doubts blow in and questions swirl, the promise of God’s faithfulness revealed in Christ is our shelter. When temptation overwhelms and our flesh gives in, the promise of God’s gracious kindness, revealed in Christ, leads us to repentance. When anxiety about the future threatens, the promise of God’s everlasting love in Christ is our glorious hope. Our desire for this song is that it would serve to remind us of the firm foundation we have in Christ during troubling times. His unchanging love undergirds our lives. May we rest in the goodness, strength, and faithfulness of God revealed in Jesus, the Word made flesh.
