Wreck removal of the Baltic Ace

On December 5th, 2012, the car carrier ‘Baltic Ace’ collided with the container ship ‘Corvus J’, in the North Sea, 65 kilometres off the Dutch Coast. The Baltic Ace sunk within 15 minutes. The 150-metre long, 25-metre wide wreck lay in one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes, which provides access to the Port of Rotterdam.
