Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Il Sung University was founded as the first university in liberated Korea on Oct. 1, Juche 35 (1946) on the initiative of President Kim Il Sung. On the 65th birthday of the university, Vice-president of the university Ri Chol Ho, told KCNA: The university became the highest seat of the Juche-based education and a center of training national cadres under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.
