Alleging that a plot exists to alter the demographic make-up of Tunisia, the head of state said, “The undeclared goal of the successive waves of illegal immigration is to consider Tunisia a purely African country that has no affiliation to the Arab and Islamic nations.” In this video, PLO Lumumba finds the assertion silly, offering constructive criticism on figures in the African-Arab world that are attempting to eradicate their Africanness. He draws on comparisons from great Pan-African leaders such as Egypt’s Gamal Abdel Nasser and Morocco’s King Hassan II. In the second part, he explains the root causes of emigration and how Africa can retain a key resource it enjoys in abundance, the labour of its youth.
