Amid Ukraine Deadlock, Russia Threatens To Deploy Forces In Cuba & Venezuela, US Calls It “Bluster”

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has warned that military deployment to Cuba and Venezuela can’t be ruled out. This comes after talks between Russia & the West over the Ukraine crisis failed to reach any conclusive decision. Ryabkov, who led the Russian delegation in the talks in Geneva, said he wouldn’t confirm or exclude the possibility of military deployment. US national security adviser Jake Sullivan dismissed the possibility of Russian deployment in Cuba and Venezuela.
