Hundreds of anti-vaccine protesters took to the streets of Barcelona to protest against the government’s COVID restrictions amid a new wave of infections caused by the Omicron strain, on Thursday. Footage shows protesters staging a rave under the city’s Arc de Triomf, then marching with placards and banners down the Ramblas to the Catalan government’s headquarters. Spain recorded a record number of infections on Thursday, with 161,688 confirmed cases after the arrival of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus.
