Giorgia Meloni will be the first women prime minister of Italy, after winning general elections whose voter turnout rate was the lowest in recent years, because the people have grown weary and become fatigued. The German newspaper Stern described Meloni as ‘the most dangerous woman in Europe’ due to her neo-fascist ideas, to which she has always had ties, since she is an admirer of fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, who kept the Italian people under his yoke for 21 years, subjugating them to a regime that was oppressive, violent and racist. Meloni’s party, Fratelli d’Italia, has had more deputies arrested, than any other party, due to their connections with organised crime, i.e., the Calabria-based mafia. The parties with which it will form a coalition – Matteo Salvini’s The League, and Berlusconi’s Forza Italia – are characterised by their xenophobic profiles, and Berlusconi has been implicated in all kinds of political, judicial, financial and sex scandals, in addition to being accused of belonging to a satanic cult. One of the objectives sought by Meloni – who forms part of the Rockefellers’ Aspen Institute – is to normalise fascism, in order to make it socially acceptable. Last century, by social consensus, this ideology was defined as ‘an absolute evil’. It is anti-social, anti-fundamental rights and xenophobic; the power of the state overrides the rights of the individual, and militarism, nationalism and imperialism are its guiding principles. It should also be noted, that the sources funding Meloni’s political party are the very same international corporations she criticises in her speeches, thereby deceiving her sleeping supporters who believe she will bring a change to Italy, when exactly the opposite is true.
