Mazda’s Iconic SP concept is a radical vision for the future of the iconic MX-5. The concept is powered by a rotary-electric powertrain, with a twin-rotor engine acting as a generator to charge a battery. This gives the car around 370 horsepower, making it significantly faster than any road-going Mazda so far.
