Rerailing a Derailed 2.5 Ton 2 Foot Gauge Locomotive

I was operating this 1935 Brookville Locomotive on a work day on Roy Athey’s Descanso, Alpine & Pacific Railroad. I was moving the locomotive up around the horseshoe curve at the driveway to couple on to the riding car to take it back to the shop for repair when I hit a loose rail joint and the front axle dropped on the ground. I quickly stopped the locomotive and shut it down. I helped Mr. Athey rerail it and tighten the joint.
