1 Tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp granulated onion powder
1/2 tsp granulated garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
3 Tbsp cornstarch
1 large egg
1 1/2 cup cornstarch for coating
SAUCE
1 Tbsp fry oil
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
zest of a large lemon
12 fl oz chicken broth
2 tsp Shaoxing cooking wine
2 to 3 Tbsp sugar (or to taste)
salt to taste
Cornstarch slurry (1/4 cup water plus 2 Tbsp cornstarch)
