Metallica - Orion Guitar Cover in D Standard

The rhythm tone is loosely based on this blog post: I did only two regular takes for stereo sound with a dynamic (left channel) and condenser (right channel) mic IRs. Also the bridge rail is set up as a single coil on this guitar, so my other guitar with the same pickup installed as humbucker would probably sound closer to the original. Some rhythm parts in the second half of the song were re-shot and re-recorded in this version and mixing issues were fixed. Tuning: D Standard Strings gauge: 10-52 Guitar: Russian custom shop travel guitar from St Petersburg with ARB rail pickups (coil split on bridge) Devices: Alesis iO2 soundcard, Honor 20 mobile phone, 50x70 softbox with 4x fluo lamps (most of the footage) Software: guitarix , Ardour 5, Olive 0.2, Ubuntu LTS Riffs (00:00) 1st solo (02:00) The hardest part (03:20) 2nd solo (05:24) 3rd solo (06:05)
