The World Health Organization and the RMH Global Scrub Choir - Bridge Over Troubled Water
In its 75th year, the World Health Organization (WHO) has enlisted the help our very own Director of Music Therapy Dr Emma O’Brien OAM to create their first global scrub choir.
It’s all part of the WHO Fifth Global Forum on Human Resources for Health, in the lead up to World Health Day, which coincides with the WHO’s birthday, on Friday 7 April.
Emma and her RMH Scrub Choir have pulled together more than 1000 healthcare workers to be part of the latest video covering Paul Simon’s song “Bridge over Troubled Water“.
The video features staff from Australia, Brazil, Japan, Norway, South Sudan, UK, and Zambia all united in voice.
We’re proud of Emma and the RMH Scrub Choir to be involved in such a unifying project that aims to bring us together to advance healthcare for every one, everyday - just like the RMH’s purpose.
