In Southwest Montana, Hyalite Canyon sits south of Bozeman, at the foothills to the Gallatin National Forest. Built in the 1940’s, the reservoir holds Bozeman’s drinking water and Gallatin Valley irrigation. Today Hyalite Canyon is one of the most frequented area’s to recreate. This November, the reservoir was frozen over, which allows you to walk on it. It’s a must see year round.
