Is Yahweh NOTHING More Than A Copy of The God BAAL?

In the Baal Cycle, religious texts from Ugarit, we have a line about Baal and he’s called ’the charioteer of the clouds’. Now in Ugaritic material, this was a stock description of Baal. No one in the ancient world would have thought Baal was less than deity, Baal was a deity. Baal worship was ubiquitous in the ancient world. Why is it important? Because the Old Testament writers, on five occasions, will lift this title of Baal and attributed to the God of Israel, to Yahweh. Check it out!
