From the movie: THE DAUGHTER OF ROSIE O’GRADY 1950
Gene Nelson dances with June Haver who in my opinion was one of the absolute best song and dance girls of the 1940’s and early 50’s. She was a fine singer who had been a band singer as a teenager and as a dancer she could do just about any kind of dance you can imagine, and she had charm to spare. it is said Fox Studios was grooming her to replace Betty Grable but her career ended abruptly when she entered a convent to become a nun. Health problems forced her to leave the convent and in the end she never returned. She later married actor Fred MacMurray adopted two daughters and never returned to Hollywood.
