Google honors Lev Davidovich Landau ( レフ・ランダウ, लेव लैंडौ, Лев Ландау, Λέον Λάνταου). He was born in Baku, Azerbaija, in 1908 - 111 years ago. Lev Landau was a Soviet theoretical physicist. In 1962 he won the Nobel Prize in Physics for “Liquid helium’s behavior at extremely low temperatures”. He was a quiet, shy boy, but a genius. Landau completed school by age 13.
