You may not be as ethical as you think you are. Retired FBI agent Michael “Bret” Hood, who specialized in financial crimes investigations, spent decades putting people in jail for their unethical actions. Now, he wants to help people steer clear of the ethical traps that often go unnoticed. In his talk, Bret walks the audience through a series of ethical checks, then explores what causes people to deviate from their ethical baselines and how they can be more ethically aware.
Hood currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Corporate Governance and Ethics for the University of Virginia, a board member for the School of Accountancy at Southern Illinois University, and a faculty member for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
