Leopard kills and eats mongoose

Video footage by Africanwhispers As leopard age and they become slower, weaker and unable to tackle large prey, it is not uncommon for them to begin hunting smaller prey such as rodents, mongoose, birds and even dangerous reptiles. Having said that, the leopard in this video does not look particularly old so she may have just been exploiting an easy opportunity for a breakfast snack!
