UK: Hundreds gather to decry policing bill in Nottingham

Hundreds of protesters gathered at Forest Recreation ground in Nottingham, on Saturday, to denounce a policing reform bill, which has been met with a public backlash in recent weeks. Protesters held banners reading ’Defund the police’ and ’Kill the bill’. The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill is a sweeping reform enabling police to impose tighter restrictions on protests, and deals with many other issues including sentencing for various offences.
