The title track was first premiered on Anjunadeep 14 in April 2023, and is a collaboration with Jody Wisternoff and label boss James Grant. Since making his label debut on Anjunadeep Explorations 15 in 2020, Nōpi has received consistent support on the label’s flagship compilations, with tracks appearing consecutively in Anjunadeep 12, 13 and 14. In fact, the second track on the ‘Freefly EP’, ‘Tree’, originally premiered on Anjunadeep 13, back in 2021, with Nōpi’s offering being touted by James Grant as one of the compilation’s highlights. The ’Freefly EP’ is no exception to the atmospheric worlds that Nōpi creates with his music, featuring deep soundscapes, washed-out melodies, intricate percussion and moody basslines. This high quality has seen Nōpi supported by respected artists like Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Cristoph.
