Hamas Leader killed in Beirut explosion

Hamas Leader killed in Beirut explosion. Deputy Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri has been killed in an explosion in a suburb of Beirut, the Lebanese capital, along with two leaders of the group’s armed wing, the al-Qassam Brigades. The Lebanon-based militia group Hezbollah have blamed Israel for the alleged assassination, vowing that “this crime will never pass without response and punishment.” Israel have denied responsibility for the attack although have stated that al-Arouri, due to his role in terrorist activities including the October 7 assault by Hamas, was a legitimate target. Nonetheless, Israel is now bracing for reprisal attacks from their enemies in the region as their war on multiple fronts continues.
