Playful Red Panda Cub Adira

Adira Update 💕 We are happy to share that Adira is doing well since Ila’s passing. She ​is very rambunctious and playful and becoming ​quite brave ​as she explor​es new toys and areas without much hesitation. Adira now weighs and is eating more and more bamboo, and even spends ​time making a concentrated effort ​to eat it. She has eaten grapes, but as any princess panda would, she spits out the skins 😉. In addition, Keepers are still bottle feeding her 3x a day, but she doesn’t ​always want to take it right away, likely due to a change of mind frame to eating more solids ​and there are other ​more exciting things to do (toys!). She’s slowly starting to lap up formula from a bowl, and Keepers offer her ​leaf-eater biscuits ​to try but no success quite yet. ​Our next steps for Adira​ are ​to introduce her ​to her outdoor habitat and give her the opportunity to investigate dad Suva’s pen, ​ultimately meet​ing ​him through a howdy (nose-to-nose with a protective barrier).
