The “Va-Bank“ Matrix

Polish film “Vabank“ was released in 1981, its sequel in - 1983. Every character of the film is a symbol of some group of people or a global social event. Both films express real world events from the destruction of USSR to the near future in symbolic form. To understand the symbolism, we matched characters with corresponding symbols and then followed their moves throughout the duology. A more detailed “decoding“ of the film, as well as explanations of how such symbolic expressions are even possible.
