Man Killing Steed (1930)

No title. “Ride ’em and weep!“ is the cry at this “Dude Ranch“ where the bucking bronco is synthetic - [illegible place name], Wyoming.“ M/S of a man climbing into a saddle which is suspended in the air by means of ropes. Other men pull on the ropes to simulate a bucking bronco and the man tries to stay on. Various shots of men being thrown around on this device but unfortunately, decomposition damage is visible throughout this print. Probably completely unusable. End shot is of a small child in the saddle - he wears a cowboy hat. Note: Paper records state “Pic 616“ but this is a segment from a “Walter Futter’s Curiosities“ item. This was possibly the raw material used in an item in Pathe Pictorial issue number 616 but is not the actual item. There is no footage of “Man Killing Steed“. Safety neg only.
