Item title reads: “ Londoners “Held Up“ By University Hospital Students in great “drive“ to wipe out debt of £35,000.“ London M/S of a woman in coat and feathered hat with a donkey. She goes to a man working in a hole in the ground and asks him for money. There are students in fancy dress, one has a banjo. Two are dressed up as a pantomime bull. M/S of a lorry with a scene of students performing an ’operation’. One in a white coat uses a huge saw on the ’patient’ being operated on. Next there is a street scene with a bull fight, as students goad the pantomime bull and finally defeat it. A nurse tends the ’dying’ bull. A line of students march in a jokey way, hand on the shoulder of the man ahead, holding spades and lifting their knees high. A working party to bury the bull perhaps?
