They march in formation in long lines, along the road, which looks like the country, not built up or suburban. At the station they wave their hats. Soldiers with kit bags laugh as they board a train. They have swords wrapped and strapped to their packs. They stand by the train carriages. Some have tin hats. A woman holds a toddler and a man kisses his father before he gets on the train.
