Six Miles Defeats Pirie (1955)

White City Stadium, London. SV. Pan, AAA (Amateur Athletic Association) Championship six mile race in progress with Gordon Pirie No 15 in front followed by Ken Norris No 13, N. Binnie No 2. and Sando No 18. CU. Pan, Gordon Pirie in front. Ken Norris closes up and overtakes Pirie. Pan as they race with Ken Norris now in front. CU. Boys in crowd shouting. SV. Pan, Ken Norris in front followed closely by Pirie. Pirie stumbles he continues to run and closes up behind Norris. Pirie puts on an extra spurt and levels with Norris, but immediately falls back as Norris goes ahead. SBV.
