Full titles read: “A PAGE FROM THE PAST - (Filmed at Scarborough’s “Merrie England“ Rehearsal.“ Intertitle reads: “Despite the lack of motors - aeroplanes, wireless, tanks, big guns and poison gas, they seem to have had a merry time in the days of good Queen Bess, so lets put back the clock some three centuries and join in their —-— —----— great Queen.“ (Unfortunately part of the title is obscured by the time code). L/Ss of trumpeters dressed in traditional Elizabethan style clothing playing a fanfare. Group shots of women dressed as Queen Elizabeth, surrounded hundreds of people dressed in period costume of the time. They sing a song on a hillside.
