Sheffield. SV captains toss, watched by Sheffield Wednesday mascot. GV crowd. GV Wednesday, striped shirts, kick off, right to left. CU crowd. LV Wednesday attacking. Alan Finney crosses ball, to the unmarked Shaw who cleverly nets. SV crowd. GV Everton kick off, general midfield play. SV crowd. SV Farrell weaving his way through Wednesday defence, and crashes in a shot, which takes David McIntosh all his time to hold. He clears upfield. SV Everton still attacking. Wainwright receives and lets fly, ball beats goalkeeper all the way but hits crossbar and bounces back into play. Goalie collects it as it drops. Dave Hickson charges him over, but he hangs on to ball and clears upfield. LV Everton still attacking. Ball bobs around Wednesday goal, but defenders cover well and Everton fail to get in a shot. SV crowd. SCU loose play in midfield until Ivor Seemley sends the Wednesday away. LV Wednesday attacking. Ball crosses and re-crosses Everton goal until cool defensive play sends Wainwright away. LV Wainwrigh
