Full titles read: “And now Pathetone has pleasure in presenting... “ (new title) “Miss Ella Shields - ’The Ideal of Ideals’.“ London (probably Pathe Studio). M/S of Ella Shields, dressed in male evening dress of tailcoat and trousers, laughing as she enters shot, takes off her top hat and picks up a ringing telephone. She says into the mouthpiece “What’s that? Do I want a line? Yes, I want sweet Adeline!“. She starts singing ’Adeline’ into the mouthpiece, then moves into the centre of the studio to sing and do a little soft shoe shuffle. (Followed by Pathetone end titles.)
