Jack Hylton (1931)

Full titles read: “Another unconventional Recording Interview with Jack Hylton and his Boys. (By Courtesy .)“. London. Various shots of Jack Hylton and his band playing in a studio; the song is a rather sorrowful lament about a girl going off with the best friend of her boyfriend, then coming to the original one for sympathy when it all goes wrong. The band is seen in rehearsal (supposedly), but a high camera angle makes the two singers look a bit odd as they cower over the large microphone. Note: the song is listed in paperwork as being ’Say Yes’, but I’m not convinced this is the title of the tune here. Does anyone know? I think it could be ’What Am I To Do?’. (This story is followed by a brief cut of another band playing (mute) - it is not connected to this story, and doesn’t appear to be Jack Hylton’s band - could be Geraldo?)
