Peter Bernard And His Ragtimers (1937)

Titles read: “Pathetone now has pleasure in presenting - The popular Variety and Radio Artist - PETER BERNARD and his RAGTIMERS“. London (probably Pathe Studio). M/S of Peter Bernard introducing his act, saying to older folks they hope to bring fond memories and hopes to prove to younger folks that the present craze of swing is nothing else but a return to ragtime. He is joined by two men, Jack and Hank, and they sing ’Waiting For The Robert E Lee’, accompanied by a man on the piano. They then sing a kind of ’Ragtime Lullaby’ then finish with ’Ragtime Cowboy Joe’. There is slight damage to soundtrack towards the end of the last song. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
