A Trifle From “Follow Through“ (1929)

Scenes from the new Musical Comedy “Follow Through“ at the Dominion Theatre in London featuring Elsie Randolph, Leslie Henson, Mark Lester and Ada May. Stage set. A man and a woman dance - a jaunty “Lambeth Walk“ style dance. They strut around the stage arm in arm and the woman kicks the man on the backside. Mark Lester and Jack Martin do a little golf skit. They are dressed in ridiculous golfing outfits. Leslie loads Jack down with lots of bags and a pair of blinkers. Leslie crouches down on the stage and places a training golf tee on the ground. He hands Mark a golf club and gives him tips on his technique. They get all tangled up and slapstick business ensues. Mark takes a shot. Leslie falls over and bends his golf club. Elsie Randolph and the chorus boys and girls do a dance routine. The boys are dressed in golfing “plus fours“ and two tone golfing shoes.
